Historic Recoration
For this project I had to research and write a report over an Era's Architecture: French Baroque and Rococo. I had to apply the Era's popular design elements with a modern day interpretation. I designed a dining room and a bathroom with a mixture or French Baroque and Rococo using design elements such as moldings, rich gold surfaces, marble tiles and counter tops, and damask and floral designs. Floor plans were made on Auto CAD and perspectives were made on Sketch-up.
NKBA Kitchen Competition
The "client's" for this project had a number of specific requirements: warm colors, granite counter tops, engineered wood floors, ample counter space, and to use cabinets already picked out. The objective was to create a functional kitchen space up to NKBA's codes with a tradition kitchen design. To contrast the dark cabinets selected I chose beige, glass, subway tiles, and a granite counter top that was mostly cremes and brown with large rusty orange veins. To match the veins I gave the kitchen an orange accent wall. All hardware is a matching nickle satin finish. Computer programs used were CAD, Sketch-up, and Photoshop.
Hand Renderings
Elevation, floor plan, and perspective were all rendered by hand using professional pens, markers, and color pencils. Objective was to immediate real materials such as wood floors, marble counter tops, and applying shadows for a more realistic look.
ASID Healthcare competition
Objective was to make a functional spacial plan keeping in mind public, semi-public, semi-private, and private areas as well as codes. The theme of my building was inspired by Cincinnati Ohio's architecture, where the hospital would be located. You can see the inspiration through the finishes of exposed brick walls, cement floors, and exposed metal pillars. The perspectives provided are of a private office and the lobby using Knoll furniture. Programs used were CAD for floor plans and Sketch-up for perspectives.
Pencil drawings
Sketching and drawing is a strong skill of mine and is found important when a computer is not available. The first drawing is a table of items such as sheets, vases, bottles, and boxes provided in a college drawing class. The second drawing is a self portrait from 2013.
